Key differences
- Scope. CommissionIQ works only with HubSpot, by design. QuotaPath connects to many CRMs, accounting tools and Rippling.
- Price structure. CommissionIQ charges only for active reps, with no platform fee or annual commitment. QuotaPath charges per user, admins included, plus a platform fee, and bills annually.
- Time to live. CommissionIQ is self-serve: about 15 minutes to a first calculation. QuotaPath lists 45–60 day implementations on average for Growth and 60–90 days for Premium.
- Data in HubSpot. CommissionIQ writes commission cost onto the deal record, so HubSpot reports can use it. QuotaPath shows each rep's earnings on a HubSpot card.
- Payout path. CommissionIQ ends at a QuickBooks bill, ready to pay. QuotaPath Premium can sync payouts to Rippling.
Who should pick which
Pick CommissionIQ if you run only HubSpot, have 5–40 reps, pay contractors through QuickBooks, pay commission on cash collected or installments, and want monthly terms without a platform fee.
Pick QuotaPath if you run more than one CRM, need ASC 606 or multi-currency, run payroll through Rippling, want SSO or API access, or prefer a guided implementation.
What does each cost at 5, 15 and 40 reps?
- 5 reps and 1 admin. CommissionIQ costs $97/month. QuotaPath Growth costs $560/month, billed annually: the $525 platform fee plus 1 user at $35.
- 15 reps and 1 admin. CommissionIQ costs $187/month. QuotaPath Growth costs $910/month, billed annually: the $525 platform fee plus 11 users at $35.
- 40 reps and 1 admin. CommissionIQ costs $412/month. QuotaPath Growth costs $1,785/month, billed annually: the $525 platform fee plus 36 users at $35.
At 40 reps that's $4,944 a year on CommissionIQ and $21,420 a year on QuotaPath Growth. QuotaPath's price includes other CRMs, ASC 606 and multi-currency. CommissionIQ is HubSpot-only and doesn't list the other two.
Monthly list prices from each vendor's public pages as of Oct 19, 2026, for a team with one admin. Taxes and volume discounts aren't included. CommissionIQ doesn't charge for admins.
What should you check before switching from QuotaPath?
- Check your renewal date. QuotaPath bills annually. Plan a switch around your renewal so you don't pay for both.
- Count your CRMs. If any rep's deals live outside HubSpot, CommissionIQ can't calculate them.
- List what you use beyond commissions. If you rely on ASC 606, multi-currency, SSO, the API or the Rippling payroll sync, check first: commissioniq.tech doesn't list any of them.
- Look at your payout path. If you pay contractors from QuickBooks, CommissionIQ creates those bills, ready to pay.
What doesn't CommissionIQ do?
- HubSpot only. It doesn't work with Salesforce, Pipedrive or Close. That's on purpose: it reads deals and payments natively and writes commission back onto the deal.
- No payroll. It doesn't run payroll or process payments. Each 1099 contractor gets one QuickBooks bill per period in Accounts Payable. Employees get a payroll summary instead.
- Not listed. ASC 606, multi-currency, a public API and SSO aren't listed on commissioniq.tech.
- Card to start. The 14-day trial needs a card, with $0 due today. Cancel before day 14 and you pay nothing.
How do you test CommissionIQ on your last pay period?
- Connect HubSpot. Create your account, click Connect HubSpot, approve the permissions and map your sales roles. Most teams are calculating commissions within 15 minutes.
- Build your plans as drafts. Enter each plan in the Commission Wizard and save it as a draft. A draft pays nothing.
- Back-test your last closed period. Run each plan against that period. Compare what it would have paid each rep with what you actually paid.
- Check a refund. CommissionIQ finds refunds in your HubSpot payment records and sizes each reversal to the payment the rep was paid on. Nothing reverses until you approve it.
- Decide before day 14. If the numbers don't match, cancel before day 14 and you're never charged.
