Key differences

  • Price transparency. CommissionIQ publishes one price. Qobra is quote-based and says it doesn't publish a price or a price range.
  • Writing back to HubSpot. CommissionIQ writes commission paid, status, period and QuickBooks bill number onto each HubSpot deal. Qobra's HubSpot integration is read-only, per its documentation.
  • Sync timing. CommissionIQ updates when a deal or payment changes in HubSpot and re-checks open periods nightly. Qobra's documentation describes a nightly full sync, updates every 2 hours and an on-demand refresh.
  • Breadth. Qobra connects to more CRMs, HR systems and a public API. CommissionIQ connects to HubSpot and QuickBooks Online.
  • Buying motion. CommissionIQ is a self-serve trial on monthly terms. Qobra prices by quote.

Who should pick which

Pick CommissionIQ if HubSpot is your only CRM, you have 5–40 reps, you pay contractors through QuickBooks bills, and you want published monthly pricing and commission cost on every HubSpot deal.

Pick Qobra if you run several CRMs, pay through Workday, BambooHR, HiBob or a payroll file process, need an API or SFTP, and prefer a quote-based, vendor-led purchase.

What does each cost at 5, 15 and 40 reps?

  • 5 reps and 1 admin. CommissionIQ costs $97/month. Qobra doesn't publish a price. Ask Qobra for a quote at the same headcount.
  • 15 reps and 1 admin. CommissionIQ costs $187/month. Qobra doesn't publish a price. Ask Qobra for a quote at the same headcount.
  • 40 reps and 1 admin. CommissionIQ costs $412/month. Qobra doesn't publish a price. Ask Qobra for a quote at the same headcount.

CommissionIQ's price is the same for every customer: $97/month including 5 rep seats, then $9/month per additional active rep. To compare, get Qobra's quote in writing for your current rep count and your expected count a year from now.

Monthly list prices from each vendor's public pages as of Oct 19, 2026, for a team with one admin. Taxes and volume discounts aren't included. CommissionIQ doesn't charge for admins.

What should you check before switching from Qobra?

  • Get a quote at your headcount. Qobra prices by quote, so you can't compare until you have one.
  • Check where payouts go. If payouts flow into Workday, BambooHR or HiBob, or out as payroll files, CommissionIQ won't replace that. It creates QuickBooks bills for contractors and a payroll summary for employees.
  • Check what your HubSpot reports need. Qobra's HubSpot integration is read-only. If you want commission cost on each deal for HubSpot reports, CommissionIQ writes it there.
  • Count your CRMs. Qobra connects to six CRMs. CommissionIQ connects to HubSpot only.

What doesn't CommissionIQ do?

  • HubSpot only. It doesn't work with Salesforce, Pipedrive or Close. That's on purpose: it reads deals and payments natively and writes commission back onto the deal.
  • No payroll. It doesn't run payroll or process payments. Each 1099 contractor gets one QuickBooks bill per period in Accounts Payable. Employees get a payroll summary instead.
  • Not listed. ASC 606, multi-currency, a public API and SSO aren't listed on commissioniq.tech.
  • Card to start. The 14-day trial needs a card, with $0 due today. Cancel before day 14 and you pay nothing.

How do you test CommissionIQ on your last pay period?

  1. Connect HubSpot. Create your account, click Connect HubSpot, approve the permissions and map your sales roles. Most teams are calculating commissions within 15 minutes.
  2. Build your plans as drafts. Enter each plan in the Commission Wizard and save it as a draft. A draft pays nothing.
  3. Back-test your last closed period. Run each plan against that period. Compare what it would have paid each rep with what you actually paid.
  4. Check a refund. CommissionIQ finds refunds in your HubSpot payment records and sizes each reversal to the payment the rep was paid on. Nothing reverses until you approve it.
  5. Decide before day 14. If the numbers don't match, cancel before day 14 and you're never charged.
